Here are some things to keep in mind when donating to municipal campaigns. Donations at the municipal level are never tax deductible and the maximum donation from an individual to a single candidate is 1,200$. Any donation over 25$ can not be made in cash; they must be done through e-transfer or cheque and have to be reported, so please leave your full name and address in the message box when e-transfering a donation so we can send you a receipt. Donations are a vital part of the campaign process as they are how candidates advertise and inform voters of their candidacy; through pamphlets, lawn signs etc. this is why every donation helps.
